BillionElectric Mobility (BillionE), India’s e-mobility-as-a-service (eMaaS) platform focused on decarbonising mid-mile and long-haul trucking, has raised USD 25 million in growth capital through a mix of equity and debt.

The funding round was backed by a consortium of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) and family offices, with participation from established financial institutions and public sector banks, including State Bank of India (SBI).

The fundraise marks BillionE’s transition from pilot-stage deployments to scaled commercial operations in electric freight mobility. The capital will be used for the phased rollout of electric trucks, supporting infrastructure, and operational readiness to enable large-scale fleet deployments.

A significant portion of the funds will support the deployment of over 500 electric trucks by FY 2026–27, along with investments in fleet management systems, digital platforms, and ecosystem partnerships. BillionE currently has a pipeline of more than 1,500 electric trucks planned over the next two to three years, aligned with customer demand and existing financing arrangements.

Commenting on the development, Sanjeev Kulkarni, CEO and Co-Founder, BillionE Mobility, said that the company is moving beyond pilot projects to real-world deployments where execution and economics are critical. He added that the fresh capital will help accelerate fleet expansion, strengthen operational capabilities, and deepen partnerships with customers committed to decarbonising their logistics operations.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and Chief Platform Architect, BillionE Platform, said that the company is witnessing strong growth momentum, with a year-on-year growth rate of around 120 per cent. He noted that electric trucking has achieved total cost of ownership (TCO) parity with diesel on select routes and use cases, particularly in the 19-tonne and 55-tonne segments, making large-scale adoption increasingly viable.

The expanded electric fleet will cater to commercial and industrial logistics across sectors such as cement, automotive, third-party logistics (3PL), metals, FMCG, chemicals, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and minerals—segments characterised by high utilisation, predictable routes, and growing sustainability commitments.

As per the firm, BillionE is pursuing a pan-India expansion strategy, with deployments planned across key industrial clusters and freight corridors. These corridors are being progressively electrified by group company CHARGE ZONE, one of India’s largest EV charging networks, enabling integrated and reliable charging access for commercial electric fleets.

With the expansion of its electric fleet, BillionE Mobility expects to deliver substantial reductions in tailpipe emissions, supporting lower carbon intensity across India’s freight and industrial logistics ecosystem.
