Bilateral cooperation between India and Canada in the field of oil and gas

Highlights investment opportunities in British Columbia, especially in the field of Natural Gas

A Canadian delegation led by Mr. Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade Canada and Ms. Christy Clark, Premier, British Columbia called on the Minister of State ( Independent charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan. Both the sides discussed bilateral Cooperation in the field of Oil and Gas. Shri Pradhan emphasised government`s focus on a gas based economy and said the Government is going to come out with a series of reforms soon for attracting good investment. 

Mr. Ed Fast said that India is growing at a fast rate under the present Government and the two countries will work as trusted partners and Canada welcomes the Government`s `Make in India` initiative. 

Ms. Christy Clark, Premier British Columbia highlighted the investment opportunities in British Columbia, especially in the field of Natural Gas.
