Bijliride, an EV rental and mobility-tech startup, has launched its B2C electric two-wheeler rental services in Delhi, marking a step in its mission to build shared, electric-first mobility solutions for urban commuters across India.

The Delhi rollout will begin in high-mobility pockets across South, Central, West and East Delhi, areas identified for strong commuter demand, robust public transport connectivity and a high need for short-distance mobility. The first confirmed pickup and drop location is Lado Sarai in South Delhi, with multiple additional hubs planned for rollout over the coming months.

Shivam Sisodiya, CEO & Co-Founder of Bijliride, said, “Delhi represents both a challenge and an opportunity for electric mobility. With rising congestion, pollution and the cost of vehicle ownership, there is a clear need for shared, affordable and clean commuting options. Our B2C launch in Delhi is designed to give everyday commuters easy access to electric two-wheelers without the burden of ownership.”

Delhi has been selected as the company’s first B2C market due to its high two-wheeler penetration, supportive EV ecosystem and the urgent requirement for cleaner mobility alternatives amid increasing pollution and traffic congestion. The city is also home to a growing base of gig workers, students and young professionals who prefer flexible rental access over the financial and operational burden of vehicle ownership.

The spokesperson further added, “Everything from vehicle selection to pricing has been designed around daily usability. Our goal is to make electric commuting reliable and economical enough to become the default choice for short-distance urban travel.”

As part of the initial phase, Bijliride will deploy 150–200 newly procured electric two-wheelers dedicated exclusively to the Delhi launch. The fleet has been curated using operational insights from Bijliride’s Hyderabad operations, with a focus on range reliability, rider comfort, battery performance and minimal downtime to ensure a dependable daily commute experience.

All bookings and payments will be managed through the Bijliride mobile application, available on the Google Play Store, delivering a fully app-led and seamless customer journey.

Customers will be offered weekly and monthly rental plans, along with battery support and swapping assistance, and 24x7 roadside and breakdown support. Indicative pricing for electric two-wheelers on a battery-swapping model will start at approximately INR 220 per day, while monthly rental plans are designed to remain significantly more affordable than the total cost of owning a two-wheeler.
