BHEL Bags Order Worth Rs 450 Crores for Chhattisgarh's Bhilai Power Project

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has announced that it has secured an order worth Rs 450 crore for supply and installation of emission control equipment at Bhilai expansion power project in Chhattisgarh
The order comprises supply and installation of flue-gas desulphurisation (FGD) system and has been placed by NTPC-SAIL Power Company - a joint venture of NTPC Ltd and Steel Authority of India Ltd
The company has so far contracted FGD orders for 56 thermal units from several customers comprising FGD systems for 42 thermal units of NTPC and its Joint Ventures. The company titles it can also supply the technology for decreasing NOx levels through modifications in boilers.
