Bharat Petroleum Awards 2649 EV Charger Order to Servotech Power Systems

In a significant stride towards bolstering the electric mobility landscape in India, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has entrusted Servotech Power Systems with an order for electric vehicle (EV) chargers. 
 
According to an announcement made by Servotech Power Systems to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the order entails the manufacturing, supplying, and installation of 2649 AC EV chargers nationwide. The initiative is part of the BPCL E-drive Project, strategically placing EV chargers at petrol pumps in major Indian cities.
 
"Serving as a key player in the widespread implementation of EV charging solutions, Servotech Power Systems Ltd., the leading manufacturer of EV Chargers in the country, has secured 2649 AC EV charger orders from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)," stated the company in an exchange filing.
 
The range of EV chargers encompasses both 3 kW and 7 kW variants, contributing to the diversification of charging options for EV users. Although the exact value of the order remains undisclosed, the manufacturing and production of these AC chargers have already commenced. The supply of chargers is scheduled to begin on December 15, with completion anticipated within three months.
 
Servotech Power Systems will oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of AC EV chargers. The company had previously installed 800 units of 30 KW DC fast EV chargers at various locations across the country as part of BPCL's E-drive project.
 
The overarching goal of this initiative is to establish widespread e-mobility touchpoints, facilitating seamless transactions, enhancing availability, simplifying navigation, and ensuring convenient access to the EV charging network.
 
With the manufacturing in full swing and the imminent deployment of these chargers, the collaboration between BPCL and Servotech Power Systems underscores a commitment to fostering sustainable and accessible EV charging infrastructure across India.
