As India works toward its target of 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030 and Net Zero by 2070, the upcoming Bharat Electricity 2025, together with POWERGEN India and Indian Utility Week, will bring together policymakers, regulators, utilities, innovators, and investors to drive the country’s clean energy transition.
The event, scheduled for September 2–4, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, IICC, Dwarka, New Delhi, is expected to serve as a key forum for aligning policy, technology, and industry action toward a sustainable energy future.
The three-day forum will unite policymakers, regulators, utilities, innovators, and investors to accelerate the nation’s clean energy transition. The platform is backed by multiple ministries, including Power, New and Renewable Energy, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, External Affairs, Heavy Industries, Jal Shakti, and Electronics and Information Technology. The Ministry of MSME will also form a special pavilion for micro and small enterprises.
Guided by the theme 'Viksit Bharat: Transforming Energy, Transforming Lives,' the event will highlight breakthrough pathways such as grid modernization, renewable integration, energy storage, hydrogen, digital public infrastructure, and consumer-centric reforms. Union Ministers Manohar Lal and Pralhad Joshi have been invited to inaugurate the event.
The platform is being steered by a governing council chaired by Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, IAS (Retd.), Former Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Co-chairs include Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA, and Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power. The council features leaders from across the energy spectrum, including NTPC, Power Grid, Suzlon, ReNew, TERI, CEEW, IEX, Siemens Energy, USIBC and others.
“Bharat Electricity, POWERGEN India and Indian Utility Week 2025 is not just a conference—it is the crucible where India’s clean energy ambitions are translated into concrete pathways,” said P.K. Pujari, IAS (Retd.), Honorary Chairperson of ENCIS, former Chairperson, CERC and former Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India.
“The theme ‘Viksit Bharat: Transforming Energy, Transforming Lives’ reflects the scale of our national mission. By bringing policymakers, global innovators, and industry leaders together on a single stage, this platform will be pivotal in driving alignment, accelerating investment, and building a resilient power sector that positions India at the forefront of the global clean energy transition,” he added.
The 2025 edition is expected to bring together over 10,000 participants and feature more than 250 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in clean energy, hydrogen, digital grids, and storage across 12,500 sq. meters, including live demonstrations.
The event aims to serve as a catalyst for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in shaping India’s modern, climate-resilient power system.
