Bajel Projects Ltd, a Bajaj Group company, posted a 19 percent year-on-year jump in revenue for the first quarter of FY25-26, driven by robust execution of transmission line projects across Raichur, Jeypore–Jagdalpur, and Gurgaon.
Revenue from operations rose to INR 607.6 crore in the April–June quarter from INR 512 crore a year earlier. EBITDA grew 32 percent to INR 24.9 crore, with margins improving to 4.04 percent from 3.58 percent last year.
However, higher finance costs weighed on profitability, with profit before tax falling 40 percent to INR 4.45 crore and net profit slipping to INR 3.32 crore from INR 5.52 crore in Q1 FY24-25.
“Our focus is on project execution,” said Rajesh Ganesh, MD and CEO, Bajel Projects. “We continue to enhance efficiency and work with financial partners to address cost pressures, while maintaining long-term value creation for stakeholders.”
Bajel Projects, formerly part of Bajaj Electricals’ EPC segment, operates in the power transmission and distribution sectors and serves state, national, and international utilities, as well as private infrastructure players.
