Power Transmission EPC company Bajel Projects has announced the launch of ‘Saksham’ – an initiative designed to build its own cadre of skilled professionals and strengthen the company’s future leadership pipeline.
Saksham is a one-year integrated program aimed at recruiting high-potential talent from campuses across India and equipping them with the technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills required in the specialised EPC domain, the company said in a statement.
Commenting on the development, Nawin Chandra, CHRO at Bajel Projects said, “For sustained growth and success, it is essential to invest in creating a pool of talent who will drive our organisation into the future. With Saksham, we are not just hiring; we are cultivating future leaders and experts who will be integral to our continued innovation and leadership in the power transmission sector. This program truly reflects our commitment to 'Build Our Own Cadre' and prepare the next generation of professionals for the unique challenges and opportunities within the EPC industry.”
Built on the globally recognised 70-20-10 learning model, Saksham offers a rich blend of on-the-job learning, mentoring, and classroom-based sessions, ensuring that trainees develop both technical proficiency and essential professional competencies, shared the company.
The program aims to bridge competency gaps by addressing the disparity between academic knowledge and the practical skills required in real-world business environments. It focuses on developing core technical expertise through hands-on training and practical application of theoretical concepts, which are essential for the EPC sector.
Alongside technical skills, the program enhances non-technical competencies by cultivating effective communication, interpersonal skills, and collaboration to foster strong teamwork. It also accelerates professional growth by preparing trainees for a seamless transition from an academic to a corporate mindset, while also instilling organisational values and culture to ensure alignment with Bajel’s ethos. Additionally, it promotes self-development by leveraging mentoring and feedback mechanisms to provide personalised guidance for continuous improvement.
Chandra added, “Saksham reflects our deep commitment to fostering a robust talent pipeline for Bajel Projects. By providing immersive, hands-on experience and a structured learning environment, we are empowering these trainees to become integral contributors to our projects from day one, setting them on a path for accelerated professional growth within the power transmission EPC industry.”
The program will equip these promising individuals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for various roles within different businesses and functions, seamlessly integrating them into the organisation upon completion of the program, asserted the company.
