Bajel Projects Bags Ultra-Mega Power Transmission Order from POWERGRID
Bajel Projects has secured an ultra-mega order (INR 400 crore and above) from PowerGrid Corporation of India. It involves construction of a new 400kV D/c transmission line, spanning about 138 KM connecting Mahan to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and the extension of a 400kV substation bay works at Rewa.

Power transmission and infrastructure EPC company Bajel Projects has announced that the company has secured a noteworthy order from PowerGrid Corporation of India (PGCIL) on behalf of their Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) – MEL Power Transmission.
This win falls within the ultra-mega band (INR 400 crore and above), underscoring Bajel Projects' growing prominence and expertise in large-scale infrastructure development, the company said in a statement.
The order from PGCIL encompasses critical components for enhancing India's transmission capabilities, specifically for the Transmission Line Package TL01.
The scope of work includes construction of a new 400kV D/c transmission line stretching approximately 138 kilometres, connecting Mahan (Existing Bus) - Rewa PS (PG) using Quad ACSR/AAAC/AL59 moose equivalent conductors.
It also includes extension of 400kV substation bay works at the Rewa (PG) associated with the transmission system for the evacuation of power from Mahan Energen generating station in Madhya Pradesh.
Commenting on the development, Rajesh Ganesh, MD and CEO of Bajel Projects, stated, “We are incredibly proud to have secured this ultra-mega order from PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd. This project reflects our robust capabilities in executing large and complex power transmission projects contributing to India's energy infrastructure growth.”
The project is expected to be completed within 29 months.
