Axis Energy has announced that the company has proposed an investment of about INR 31,750 crore in Odisha to develop large-scale renewable energy projects across wind, solar, agri-PV, hybrid and BESS segments.

The proposed portfolio includes 5 GW of clean energy capacity, strengthening Odisha’s position as an emerging renewable energy hub, the company stated.

It further added that the investment is expected to generate over 5,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.

Axis Energy plans to work with the Government of Odisha to support sustainable growth and accelerate the state’s energy transition, it said.

In December 2025, Axis Energy and Evren, a 51:49 joint venture between Brookfield Renewables and Axis Energy, committed INR 31,500 crore to develop 2,750 MW of renewable energy projects. The projects, spread across 19,750 acres, will include wind, solar, hybrid, and agri-PV solutions, creating over 4,750 direct jobs and strengthening Telangana's clean energy future, the company stated.

In November 2025, the Andhra Pradesh government inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth about INR 1.10 lakh crore with ABC Cleantech (Evren) and Axis Energy Ventures India for large-scale renewable energy projects across the state. Under the pact, Evren will set up 6,500 MW of wind, 6,500 MW of solar, 6,500 MWh of energy storage, and facilities for producing 0.25 MTPA of green hydrogen along with 1 MTPA of its derivatives, in Andhra Pradesh.
