Axis Energy, Lumara to Develop 400 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh

Axis Energy, in partnership with Lumara, will develop a 400 MW solar project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, along with associated 400 kV transmission infrastructure for grid evacuation, targeting commissioning in 2027.

Axis Energy has announced that the company, in partnership with Lumara, will develop a 400 MW solar power project at Nandipadu village in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, with commissioning targeted for 2027.

Axis Energy will undertake the complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for the project. The development is expected to generate employment opportunities for local communities during both the construction and operational phases, the company stated.

Axis Energy Joint Managing Director Kiran Kumar Reddy stated that the company will also develop a 400 kV Pooling Substation (PSS) and an associated 400 kV transmission line to connect the solar project to the Kurnool III CTUIL Substation.

The transmission infrastructure will enable evacuation of power generated by the project to the national grid, he said.

He further added that the partnership combines Lumara’s capabilities with Axis Energy’s expertise in renewable energy development and EPC execution. He said that the collaboration would support the development of renewable energy infrastructure and contribute to India’s energy transition and long-term sustainability goals.
