Axis Energy Ventures India, in partnership with Evren, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRIDCO, on behalf of the Government of Odisha, to develop up to 5,000 MW of renewable energy projects along with green hydrogen production facilities.
The proposed initiative involves an estimated investment of around INR 47,750 crore over the next decade and is expected to generate nearly 15,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, strengthening Odisha’s position as a major clean energy hub in eastern India, the company stated.
“The partnership reflects a shared commitment to scalable renewable generation, storage integration, grid stability, and industrial decarbonisation — aligned with Odisha Renewable Energy Policy 2022 and India’s long-term sustainability vision,” it said.
The collaboration aims to support reliable, low-carbon power supply while accelerating the adoption of next-generation energy solutions, including green hydrogen, to meet future industrial and infrastructure demand.
