AVVNL Invites Bids for 279 MW Solar Power under Component A of PM-KUSUM Program in Ajmer
Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVNL) has invited bids for a cumulative 279 MW grid-connected solar power plants under Component A of the PM-KUSUM program through RESCO mode in Ajmer. Interested applicants need to set up decentralised solar power plants of 0.5 MW to 2 MW in unused/barren land situated within a 5 km radius of 33/11 kV substations.

Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVNL) has invited bids for the design, survey, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of about 279 MW grid-connected solar power plants under Component A of PM-KUSUM program through RESCO mode.
Through this tender, AVVNL has invited proposals from interested applicants for setting up decentralised solar power plants of 0.5 MW to 2 MW capacity to be connected on 33/11 kV Sub-stations identified by the Ajmer Discom.
Bid submission starts on November 14, 2024 and ends on November 29, 2024. Techno-commercial bids will be opened on December 3, 2024.
Bidders need to pay INR 5000/MW as a bid document fee and another INR 2,950 as a processing fee. Bidders also need to deposit INR 1 lakh/MW as earnest money deposit (EMD).
“No subsidy or financial assistance will be provided by the Central or State Government for the installation of solar power plants under Component A of PMKUSUM Scheme,” clarified the EOI document.
The scope of work would include the design, supply and installation of solar power plants near the concerned 33/11 kV substation of DISCOM, in line with requirements under MNRE guidelines; supply and erection of associated 11 kV line connecting the solar power plant with the concerned 33/11 kV substation (including bay, breakers and metering system at the substation).
It will also involve testing and commissioning of the plant and associated 11 kV line by the designated official(s) of AVVNL along with operation and maintenance of the solar power plant as well as the 11 kV line for 25 years.
The electricity produced under the said scheme will be purchased by AVVNL at the levelized cost of INR 3.04 per kWh for the period of 25 years. No escalation shall be allowed over the period.
The bidder under the scheme would be installed by the farmers on his own land either directly by himself or in partnership with a group of farmers, cooperatives, panchayats, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO), Water User associations (WUA), or through a developer.
Groups of farmers, cooperatives, panchayats, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO) and Water User associations (WUA) etc. can opt for developing the solar plants through developer(s).
