Avaada Enters ALMM List-II for Solar Cells, Fujiyama Adds Capacity

Avaada Electro has entered MNRE's ALMM List-II with 610 MW of N-Type TOPCon G12 solar cell manufacturing capacity from its Nagpur facility. UTL Solar has increased its Bifacial Mono PERC solar cells capacity by 640 MW. Total enlisted capacity in ALMM List-II has increased to 31,758 MW.

Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II for solar PV cells by adding 610 MW of N-Type TOPCon G12 Solar Cell capacity from its plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The enlistment covers N-type TOPCon G12 (210 mm) solar cells in both half-cut and full-cell configurations. The approved half-cut model, N-G12-1888-HC-AVA, has an average cell efficiency of 25.63 percent, while the full-cell model, N-G12-1888-FC-AVA, offers an efficiency of 25.57 percent.

Additionally, Fujiyama Power Systems (UTL Solar) has increased its ALMM-listed Bifacial Mono PERC Solar cells capacity by 640 MW to 1,077 MW.

With these, the total enlisted capacity in ALMM List-II has increased by 1,250 MW to 31,758 MW, and the number of manufacturers has increased to 14.

This is the eighth revision of the list since being first published on July 31, 2025.

The list was last updated on April 30, 2026, when RenewSys India entered ALMM List-II for solar PV cells by adding 452 MW of Bifacial N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell capacity from its plant in Telangana.

The cut-off date for the implementation of ALMM List-II for utility-scale projects tendered by state and central utilities and REIAs where ALMM-II applicability is decided based on the date of bid submission, was August 31, 2025.

MNRE recently extended the exemption from ALMM II requirements of using domestically manufactured solar cells for net metering and open access solar projects till December 31, 2026.

In March 2026, MNRE expanded its ALMM framework to include ingots and wafers under a new List-III, mandating their use from June 1, 2028. The first list will be published when at least three independent wafer manufacturers with a combined 15 GW capacity are enlisted, and the cut-off date will be 7 days post the initial list issuance.
