Ather Energy, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has hosted the 4th edition of Ather Community Day, its annual gathering of riders, EV enthusiasts and the wider Ather community. The event began in 2016 as a meet-up of 30 to 40 early believers has grown into Ather’s largest annual community gathering, with over 4,600 attendees this year.
This year’s Community Day brought four announcements across product and ownership: Konarc TM , Ather’s newest scooter; Ather True Health TM, a comprehensive vehicle health report and resale-value assessment; the fifth-generation Ather Bedrock TM Battery platform; and Ather Node TM, a charging solution for apartment communities. Together, the announcements address key barriers consumers continue to face with electric two-wheelers, from everyday usability and battery safety to long-term battery health, resale value and access to convenient home charging.
Ather’s new Konarc scooter, built on its EL platform, is designed for everyday Indian riding with a focus on comfort, stability, range and serviceability. Available in six variants with 100–200 km IDC range, it features a 10,000-km service interval, fifth-generation Bedrock battery, 10-year warranty and new convenience features.
The company’s fifth-generation Bedrock Battery introduces BreachSense, a real-time system designed to detect microscopic battery damage and moisture leaks after high-impact accidents. Enhanced cell-balancing capability is expected to extend battery life, with 70 percent state of health projected at 1–1.2 lakh km, supported by a 10-year warranty.
AtherNode addresses charging challenges in residential and commercial complexes with limited electrical capacity. Its central gateway can manage up to 1,000 chargers while dynamically distributing available power based on vehicle and building demand. The system can automatically reduce or pause charging during peak loads, helping communities expand EV charging without frequent infrastructure upgrades.
Ather True Health provides riders with a comprehensive assessment of their scooter using connected-vehicle data, covering battery, motor, dashboard, charging system, belt, brakes and service history. It generates a five-point health score and estimates resale value for eligible scooters, enabling buyers and sellers to better assess vehicle condition and ownership history.
Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO, Ather Energy, said, “Community Day has always been about sharing what we have been building with the people who have been part of our journey. This year, we have some of our biggest launches across the vehicle, battery, charging and ownership experience. Each of these comes from a different problem we have been working on, but the larger goal is the same: to keep removing the barriers that come with new technology and make EVs a more natural choice for more people. We believe the next phase of EV adoption will come from getting the fundamentals right, at scale, and that is exactly what we are building towards.”
