A.S.Bakshi as a New Member of CERC

Mr. Piyush Goyal , Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal & New Renewable Energy administered oath of office and secrecy to Mr. A.S.Bakshi as a new Member of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission ( CERC) at a simple ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Chairman, CERC Mr. G.B. Pradhan, Secretary, Power Mr. PK Sinha and senior officers of Ministry of Power and CERC.
Earlier on 30th July,2014, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet ( ACC) had approved the appointment of Sh Bakshi as Member, CERC under Ministry of Power for a period of five years from the date of his taking over charge of the post or upto his attaining the age of 65 years , whichever is earlier.
