Anzen India Energy Yield Plus Trust has nearly tripled its assets under management (AUM) to around INR 6,552 crore since listing after completing a unit fund-raising exercise through a preferential issue.
The trust raised INR 696.44 crore by issuing 5,95,25,000 units at INR 117 per unit, according to an announcement. The capital raise forms part of Anzen’s strategy to expand its portfolio of energy infrastructure assets.
The proceeds from the issue, along with external debt, were used to acquire 12 renewable solar assets from Edelweiss Infrastructure Yield Plus and its affiliates. The enterprise value of these assets, corresponding to a 74 percent stake, is about INR 2,520 crore.
Following the acquisition, Anzen’s portfolio has expanded to 15 energy infrastructure assets across transmission and solar segments as of Q4 FY26, significantly strengthening its platform and investment base.
The trust said that the acquisitions align with its strategy to build a high-quality portfolio of energy infrastructure assets while delivering long-term value to unitholders.
Participation in the preferential issue included a mix of existing unitholders and new investors, reflecting investor confidence in Anzen’s growth prospects and its role as an investment platform in India’s expanding energy infrastructure sector.
