Andhra Pradesh Secures Over INR 5 Lakh Crore in Clean Energy Commitments at CII Summit

Andhra Pradesh has secured investment commitments worth INR 5.2 lakh crore across renewable energy, green hydrogen, pumped storage, biofuels, manufacturing and hybrid RE projects during the first two days of the 30th CII Partnership Summit, officials said.

Energy Minister G. Ravi Kumar said the investments carry the potential to generate over 2.6 lakh jobs. Deals worth more than INR 2.94 lakh crore, expected to create nearly 70,000 jobs, were signed on the opening day, while agreements exceeding INR 2.2 lakh crore with nearly two lakh job opportunities were finalised on the second day.

Kumar said the surge in commitments underscores rising investor confidence and strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as one of India’s fastest-growing hubs for clean energy and green hydrogen.

Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and NREDCAP VC and MD M. Kamalakar Babu were present during the exchange of MoUs.
