The Andhra Pradesh government has reaffirmed its strategic clean infrastructure partnership with Brookfield Asset Management following a high-level meeting at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.
Minister for IT, Electronics and Education Nara Lokesh met Connor Teskey, President of Brookfield Asset Management, to review progress since their previous interaction in London and accelerate implementation of the landmark USD 12 billion Memorandum of Understanding signed at the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam. The MoU is among the largest clean infrastructure commitments announced at the Summit.Discussions focused on fast-tracking Brookfield’s clean-energy-powered, gigawatt-scale data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s plan to develop Vizag as a national data centre and digital infrastructure hub. Both sides also explored opportunities in energy storage, solar manufacturing, and green hydrogen pilot projects near the State’s port-led industrial clusters.
The meeting further reviewed large-scale renewable energy projects being developed in Andhra Pradesh through Brookfield-backed platform Axis Energy’s Evren, which is advancing utility-scale solar and wind capacity to supply low-cost green power for industrial and digital infrastructure needs.
Commenting on the partnership, Minister Nara Lokesh said Brookfield’s continued commitment reflects Andhra Pradesh’s growing stature as a preferred destination for sustainable, large-scale global investments.
