AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Poly Medicure to supply 9.9 MWp of solar power to their five plants from AMPIN’s 75 MWp solar park in Kurungawali Sirsa, Haryana.
Under this agreement, approximately about 35 percent of Poly Medicure’s conventional power consumption of five plants in Faridabad will be replaced by solar power from AMPIN’s solar project. By shifting to solar power, the company is projected to realise significant cost savings, as the solar energy cost is estimated to be around 30 percent lower compared to existing discom power. In addition to economic benefits, this transition is expected to reduce Scope-2 emission, demonstrating Poly Medicure’s commitment to environmentally responsible operations.
Talking about the partnership, Dhruv Baid, Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy, Poly Medicure Ltd. said, “Our partnership with AMPIN Energy is a strategic step toward sustainability and operational efficiency. By addressing Scope 2 emissions, we are reducing our environmental footprint and reinforcing our commitment to protecting the natural ecosystem. AMPIN’s renewable energy solutions enable a seamless transition to solar power, reducing our reliance on conventional energy and significantly lowering our carbon footprint. We are confident that this collaboration will deliver measurable results in our sustainability journey, and we look forward to a long-term association with AMPIN.”
Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder, MD and CEO of AMPIN Energy Transition said, “We are happy to partner with Poly Medicure in Haryana on their renewable energy transition journey. As the preferred renewable energy transition partner to pharma and healthcare companies in India, we are currently serving about 10 marquee customers in this category. This new PPA is a testament to our commitment to decarbonising the healthcare industry and delivering reliable, cost-effective renewable energy solutions that lower costs and support sustainability goals. We look forward to expanding our footprint in Haryana and driving the energy transition in the state.”
AMPIN Energy Transition has a total portfolio of about 5 GWp spread across 22 states in the country. It possesses a balanced portfolio of renewable energy assets using a blend of solar, wind and storage to provide green power to utility and commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.
