Ambuja Cements has launched a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Assembly Operator Trade at its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) in Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh.

Ambuja Cements’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aims to prepare rural youth for the fast-evolving electric mobility sector, equipping them with future-ready skills that align with the growing demand for green transportation across India.

Training is provided to over 700+ rural youths in the EV lab at SEDI Bhatapara, offering them hands-on training in electric rickshaws, scooters, cars, battery systems, and motor controls. The initiative underlines the company’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities with livelihood opportunities that are both relevant and sustainable.

By introducing this green technology skilling programme for the trainees, the initiative opens up promising employment opportunities apart from inspiring them to become part of the country’s clean energy transition. Ambuja Cement continues to foster incumbents from diverse backgrounds to drive themselves towards a greener future.
