AM Green Group has inked memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth INR 54,000 crore with the Government of Andhra Pradesh at the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam.
As part of the agreements, AM Green will invest INR 44,000 crore in Kakinada (Uppada) to build a 1 million tonnes per annum Green Aluminium Complex in two phases, supported by one of the world’s largest RFNBO-compliant green ammonia facilities, stated Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) in a social media post.
The project is expected to anchor a new era of low-carbon metals production, leveraging Andhra Pradesh’s strategic coastline and renewable energy strengths.
The Group will deploy an additional INR 10,000 crore to develop multiple biorefineries across Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Anakapalli, producing advanced 2G ethanol and a 180 KTPA Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant. This portfolio of next-generation biofuel assets will support global decarbonisation targets while expanding India’s green molecules supply chain, it said.
“This transformative partnership will create an integrated ‘farm to flight’ ecosystem, positioning North Andhra Pradesh as a global destination for next-generation biofuels and sustainable industrial growth,” APEDB stated.
