Alpex Solar Signs 300 MW Solar Cell Procurement Deal with TP Solar
Alpex Solar has signed a 300 MW solar cell procurement deal with TP Solar to ensure steady production, support expansion, and meet delivery commitments until its own plant becomes operational.

Alpex Solar Ltd. has announced a definitive procurement agreement with TP Solar Ltd.for solar cells totalling a minimum aggregate capacity of 300 MW.
The move, disclosed via an NSE filing, aims to strengthen Alpex’s manufacturing pipeline and ensure uninterrupted production ahead of its planned solar cell facility launch later this fiscal year.
The Noida-based solar module manufacturer said the strategic tie-up will help secure its supply chain, scale up operations, and maintain uninterrupted deliveries to major clients including Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Ltd. (CMPDI), NTPC, and Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL).
The company is preparing to operationalise its own solar cell production facility at Kosi Kotwan in Uttar Pradesh. Until then, the agreement with TP Solar will act as a critical stopgap to meet production commitments and market demand.
Alpex emphasised that the arrangement aligns with its long-term growth strategy and positions it to stay competitive in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy market.
The agreement highlights Alpex’s broader commitment to ramp up domestic solar manufacturing capabilities in line with India’s self-reliance goals in the clean energy sector.
