Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 2,986 MW of solar module capacity in List-I. With this, the cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM has increased to 90,959 MW.

Reliance Industries has made an entry in the ALMM list with 1,716 MW of annual capacity from its facility in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Avaada Electro has added 1,272 MW of capacity in the ALMM list from its facility based out of Nagpur in Maharashtra. Earlier, Avaada Electro’s Dadri Facility in Uttar Pradesh was listed with a capacity of 1,165 MW/year.

Gujarat-based manufacturer SASA Energy has made model addition and the ALMM enlisted capacity has changed to 98 MW from 100 MW earlier.

The List was last updated on May 21, 2025. Among the key additions to the list were Indosol Solar (472 MW), Pravanya Solar (79 MW), Premier Energies Global Environment (1,085 MW), Green Brilliance Renewable Energy (32 MW), Contendre Greenergy (45 MW), Nextbrio Industries (21 MW) and Amrut Energy (48 MW).

Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.

Solar Cells will also come under the ambit of ALMM from June 1, 2026 onwards and will be listed under List-II.
