The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released an updated Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, bringing the number of approved module manufacturers to 93.

This revision increases the total enlisted capacity to more than 70 GW. The update aims to strengthen India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem by ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Among the key additions to the list are Asote Solutions with 152 MW, MKU Holdings with 1,183 MW, and Axitec Energy India with 18 MW. These companies have been approved after meeting the necessary regulatory and technical requirements. Their inclusion in the ALMM allows them to supply modules for government-backed solar projects and schemes.

In contrast, a few companies have been delisted as part of MNRE’s continuous monitoring process to ensure that only high-quality and compliant manufacturers remain on the list.

Several firms have recently received provisional ALMM enlistment for additional solar module models. Few of them includes, ECE (India) Energies Ltd. has an enlisted capacity of 617 MW per year and an applied capacity of 800 MW. FS India Solar Ventures is enlisted at 3,212 MW per year with the same applied capacity. ReNew Photovoltaics has an enlisted capacity of 2,842 MW per year and an applied capacity of 2,482 MW.

Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.
