Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 8,774 MW of solar module capacity in List-I. With this, the cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM crossed the 100 GW mark, reaching 100,232 MW.
Seven new manufacturers have been added to the list adding a total of 2,812 MW capacity. Saatvik Solar Industries of Saatvik Group has been added in the ALMM with a capacity of 1,941 MW. Other new entrants include Arkalight Solar (506 MW), Avco Power (185 MW), Onix-Tech Renewable (56 MW), Matri Shree Techno Industries (49 MW), MKTEK Solpower India (46 MW) and Northgreen Energy (29 MW).
The companies that are already listed in the ALMM List-I for solar PV modules have added 5,985 MW cumulatively. The highest capacity addition came from Goldi Sun (Goldi Solar) which has added 2,675 MW to reach 7,263 MW. Vikram Solar has added 1,446 MW from its facility in Falta, West Bengal. Redren Energy has added 637 MW to reach 1034 MW.
Mudra Solar PV (Adani Solar) has added 243 MW to reach 2,185 MW. FS India Solar Ventures (First Solar) has added 221 MW. ReNew Photovoltaics has added 118 MW to reach 1,884 MW. Avaada Electro has added 146 MW from its facility in Uttar Pradesh reaching a capacity 1311 MW.
Other companies that have increased capacities include Indosol Solar (160 MW), Integrated Batteries India (191 MW), Novasys Greenergy (62 MW), Citizen Solar (48 MW) and H R Solar Solution (38 MW).
However, capacity of ECE (India) Energies reduced by 1 MW to 39 MW and that of Ganesh Green reduced by 22 MW to 557 MW.
The List was last updated on June 30, 2025. Nithin Sai Renewable (473 MW) and Worldone Energies (164 MW) were the new entrants in that list. Some existing manufacturers added models as a result of which their enlisted capacities in ALMM changed. Swelect HHV Solar Photovoltaics added 104 MW. The enlisted capacity of Orb Energy increased by 1 MW to 72 MW.
Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.
Solar Cells will also come under the ambit of ALMM from June 1, 2026 onwards. On July 31, 2025, MNRE released the first edition of its ALMM List-II for solar PV cells, enlisting 13,066 MW of domestic manufacturing capacity across six manufacturers and nine units.
