Advait Greenergy Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions Ltd. (AETL), has appointed Darshan Soni as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its green hydrogen, solar and fuel cell businesses. The appointment comes as the group expands its clean energy manufacturing, technology commercialisation and project execution activities.

Soni brings 17 years of experience in hydrogen, ammonia, renewable energy and industrial energy infrastructure. His experience spans technology development, manufacturing, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and strategic business development. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving business growth, strengthening operational and execution capabilities, developing strategic partnerships and identifying opportunities across the three business segments.

Before joining Advait Greenergy, Soni served as CEO of Mysore Ammonia Envirotech Pvt. Ltd., which operates in the downstream ammonia value chain. He also founded and led GASCOMP, an ONGC-backed venture focused on developing technologies for compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen fuelling infrastructure.

His career has involved business expansion, EPC execution, manufacturing, technology development and commercialisation, as well as strategic partnerships with public sector undertakings, industrial groups and international technology companies across India and overseas markets.

The appointment comes as AETL expands its operations beyond power transmission infrastructure into electrolyser manufacturing, green hydrogen projects, solar EPC and fuel cells. Through its group companies, the company is developing capabilities across equipment manufacturing, engineering and project delivery.

As part of its electrolyser manufacturing programme, AETL inaugurated a 30 MW alkaline electrolyser assembly facility in Gujarat on March 13, 2026. The company has outlined a phased expansion plan to increase integrated manufacturing capacity to 100 MW and subsequently 300 MW.

AETL has also secured allocations totalling 300 MW of annual electrolyser manufacturing capacity under the Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme. The allocations comprise two tranches of 100 MW and 200 MW.

Soni will focus on translating the group's technology partnerships and manufacturing capabilities into customer orders and commercially viable projects. His responsibilities will also include strengthening project execution, expanding customer relationships and developing opportunities in industrial decarbonisation.

The company is looking to build its presence across renewable energy and clean energy technologies through manufacturing development, project execution and strategic collaborations.
