In a significant stride toward sustainable energy adoption in India, ADM Solar has successfully supplied 30 MW of high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules for the PM KUSUM-C project in Maharashtra.

This ambitious initiative, part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, aims to solarize agricultural pumps and promote renewable energy in rural India. ADM Solar’s contribution underscores its commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy goals while empowering farmers with clean, reliable energy solutions.

The PM KUSUM-C project focuses on the solarization of grid-connected agricultural pumps, enabling farmers to reduce dependency on diesel and conventional electricity while contributing to India’s renewable energy targets.

Under this component, ADM Solar has supplied PV modules for ground-mounted solar installations across various locations in Maharashtra, a state known for its abundant sunshine and progressive renewable energy policies.

The total capacity of the project is 30 MW. The installation type is ground-mounted. The module specifications include 550 Wp bifacial Mono PERC modules. The total quantity is approximately 54,545 modules of 550 Wp Mono bifacial. The dispatch location is Maharashtra, while the customer is based in Gurugram, Haryana. The project sites are spread across multiple locations in Maharashtra.

The 30 MW solar installations are designed as ground-mounted systems without trackers, optimizing cost-effectiveness while maintaining high energy output. By leveraging bifacial Mono PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) technology, these modules capture sunlight from both sides, enhancing energy generation through reflected light from the ground. This approach is particularly suited for Maharashtra’s diverse terrain, ensuring efficient performance across various project sites without the added complexity and cost of tracking systems.

Bifacial modules offer several advantages, including higher energy yield, as capturing reflected sunlight increases overall power output. Durability is ensured as Mono PERC technology delivers long-term reliability and performance. This approach also supports sustainability, aligning with the PM KUSUM scheme’s goal of reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly farming practices.

The PM KUSUM scheme, launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), aims to add 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, with a central financial allocation of INR 34,422 crore. Component C specifically targets the solarization of 35 lakh grid-connected agricultural pumps, enabling farmers to access clean energy for irrigation while reducing electricity costs.

ADM Solar’s contribution to this project aligns with the scheme’s objectives of enhancing energy security, boosting farmers’ income, and reducing environmental pollution.

Under Component C, farmers benefit from financial assistance, including a 30 percent Central Financial Assistance (CFA) and a minimum 30 percent state government subsidy, with the remaining cost covered by the farmer or through bank loans.

In certain regions, such as North-Eastern states and hilly areas, the CFA increases to 50 percent. The ground-mounted systems supplied by ADM Solar support this framework by providing reliable, high-efficiency solar solutions tailored to agricultural needs.

ADM Solar’s supply of 30 MW of 550 Wp bifacial Mono PERC modules demonstrates its capability to deliver cutting-edge technology for large-scale projects. By dispatching these modules to various locations in Maharashtra, ADM Solar ensures seamless integration into the PM KUSUM-C project, contributing to the state’s renewable energy infrastructure.

The use of bifacial Mono PERC modules reflects ADM Solar’s focus on innovation and efficiency. These modules are designed to maximize energy output in diverse environmental conditions, making them ideal for Maharashtra’s varied landscapes. The company’s commitment to quality and sustainability positions it as a trusted partner for government-backed initiatives like PM KUSUM.

The commissioning of 30 MW of solar capacity under the PM KUSUM-C project in Maharashtra is a significant milestone in India’s journey toward a cleaner, greener future. These installations are expected to generate substantial clean energy, reducing carbon dioxide emissions and supporting sustainable agricultural practices. By enabling farmers to power their irrigation systems with solar energy, the project enhances energy independence and reduces operational costs, aligning with the scheme’s goal of doubling farmers’ income.

As Maharashtra continues to lead in renewable energy adoption, ADM Solar’s contribution sets a benchmark for quality and reliability in solar project execution. The successful dispatch of modules to multiple sites across the state highlights the company’s logistical expertise and dedication to meeting project timelines.

ADM Solar’s supply of 30 MW of bifacial Mono PERC PV modules for the PM KUSUM-C project in Maharashtra is a testament to the transformative potential of solar energy in agriculture. By delivering high-efficiency, ground-mounted solar solutions, ADM Solar is helping farmers harness the power of the sun to drive sustainable growth. This project not only advances India’s renewable energy targets but also paves the way for a more resilient and environmentally conscious agricultural sector.
