ADM Signs 10 MW Solar PPA for Aligarh Plant

The partnership between ADM and Avener Green fuels the energy-efficient manufacturing ecosystem in India.

January 06, 2026. By News Bureau

ADM Solar Power has recently signed a 10 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under the Open Access Captive mode with Avener Green. The solar power generated through this agreement will be used to run ADM’s solar module and solar cell manufacturing unit in Aligarh, reducing reliance on conventional grid electricity.

Under the agreement, a 10 MW captive solar power plant will supply reliable, cost-effective and green energy to ADM’s advanced manufacturing facility. The move aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to build a low-carbon, energy-efficient solar manufacturing ecosystem in India.

By opting for open access captive solar power, ADM is expected to achieve energy cost savings while ensuring price stability and energy security for its high-capacity production lines.

Commenting on the development, ADM said that powering its own solar module and cell production with renewable energy reflects its commitment to leading by example. The company reiterated that the initiative strengthens its position not only as a solar manufacturer, but also as a responsible clean energy consumer focused on sustainable growth.

The partnership also supports the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by promoting the use of clean energy within domestic manufacturing. The shift to solar-powered operations will help ADM significantly lower its carbon footprint and set a sustainability benchmark within the solar manufacturing sector.

Avener Green, which specialises in utility-scale and open access solar projects, will develop and supply power from the captive solar plant, ensuring long-term performance, reliability and regulatory compliance.
