Adani Power Ltd. has received a letter of award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for the long-term supply of 2,500 MW renewable round-the-clock (RTC) power.
The contract follows Adani Power emerging as the successful bidder in MSEDCL’s electronic reverse auction process. Power will be supplied for 25 years from the scheduled commencement date under the power supply agreement. The award relates to a domestic tender floated by MSEDCL.
Separately, before this 2,500 MW renewable round-the-clock contract, Adani Power Ltd. had secured another long-term supply agreement from MSEDCL in March for 1,600 MW of power from an upcoming ultra-supercritical thermal project.
Meanwhile, the Khavda project remains central to the group’s clean-energy push. Out of the planned 30 GW capacity by 2029, Adani has already installed 9.4 GW at the site, making it one of the world’s largest renewable energy developments.
