Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that the company, through its various stepdown subsidiaries, has operationalised an aggregate 408.1 MW power projects at Khavda, Gujarat.
Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six has commissioned a 87.5 MW solar project, while Adani Renewable Energy Forty One has added 124.8 MW wind power capacity. Other step subsidiaries have added a cumulative of 195.8 MW of hybrid capacity.
“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 8.29 a.m. on September 30, 2025 to operationalise these plants and commence power generation from September 30, 2025,” stated the company in a regulatory filing.
It further added that with commissioning of these plants, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 16,486.1 MW.
Adani Green Energy is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30,000 MW on the barren wasteland at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat. Built across 538 sq km, it is five times the size of Paris and will be even visible from space. Once complete, it will be the planet’s largest power plant across all energy sources, the company claimed.
In May 2025, AGEL signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) to supply 400 MW of solar power at INR 2.57/unit from a grid-connected solar power plant to be developed in Rajasthan.
In April 2025, Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary, Adani Hydro Energy Five, signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) for 1,250 MW of pumped hydro energy storage capacity.
AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro-pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states. The company reported a 30 percent year-on-year increase in operational capacity in FY25.
Further, AGEL plans to expand its renewable energy portfolio to 50 GW by 2030 through a combination of solar, wind, hybrid, and pumped storage projects. The company has already secured over 5 GW of pumped storage project sites. It is also increasing its focus on commercial and industrial (C&I) and merchant segments. The expansion is supported by a USD 3.4 billion revolving construction facility.
In a recent investor presentation, Adani Group said that it will invest about USD 21 billion by FY30, scaling renewable energy capacity to 50 GW. Adani Green Energy, the renewables arm of the group, which develops and operates large-scale solar and wind farms, will anchor this expansion.
