Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that the company, through its various stepdown subsidiaries, has operationalised an aggregate of 200 MW solar power projects at Khavda, Gujarat.

While Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six has operationalised 75 MW capacity, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven has added 125 MW, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 10.34 p.m. on November 30, 2025 to operationalise these plants and commence power generation from December 01, 2025,” it said.

With commissioning of these plants, AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 16,929.8 MW.

Adani Green Energy is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW on the barren wasteland at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat. Built across 538 sq km, it is five times the size of Paris and will be even visible from space. Once complete, it will be the planet’s largest power plant across all energy sources, the company claimed.

In May 2025, AGEL signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) to supply 400 MW of solar power at INR 2.57/unit from a grid-connected solar power plant to be developed in Rajasthan.

In April 2025, Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary, Adani Hydro Energy Five, signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) for 1,250 MW of pumped hydro energy storage capacity.

AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro-pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states. The company reported a 30 percent year-on-year increase in operational capacity in FY25.

Further, AGEL plans to expand its renewable energy portfolio to 50 GW by 2030 through a combination of solar, wind, hybrid, and pumped storage projects with a planned investment of about USD 21 billion. The company has already secured over 5 GW of pumped storage project sites. It is also increasing its focus on commercial and industrial (C&I) and merchant segments. The expansion is supported by a USD 3.4 billion revolving construction facility.
