Adani Green Energy Operationalises 150 MW Solar Power Project at Khavda, Gujarat
Adani Green Energy has operationalised a 150 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C, taking its total operational renewable energy capacity to 19,735.8 MW.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C has operationalised a 150 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat.
“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 7.40 p.m. on May 10, 2026, to operationalise the plant and commence power generation from May 10, 2026,” stated the company in a regulatory filing.
It further added that with the commissioning of this project, AGEL has achieved a total operational renewable generation capacity of 19,735.8 MW and total operational BESS capacity of 1,376 MWh.
Last month, AGEL operationalised 293 MW of solar capacity at Khavda, Gujarat.
In FY26, AGEL added 5,051 MW of renewable capacity, which includes 3.4 GW (3,409 MW) of solar, 0.7 GW (686 MW) of wind and 1 GW (956 MW) of wind-solar hybrid capacity. Most of the new capacity was commissioned at the renewable energy plant being developed by AGEL at an accelerated pace in the barren land at Khavda, Gujarat. Built across 538 sq kms, the project is spread across an area five times the size of Paris. Out of the planned 30 GW by 2029 at Khavda, AGEL has already installed a cumulative capacity of 9.7 GW at the site, the company said.
The Khavda project deploys advanced bifacial solar modules, which generate electricity from both sides by capturing sunlight directly and from reflections off the ground, along with solar trackers to maximise electricity generation. It also deploys 5.2 MW wind turbines, among the most powerful onshore units globally. The use of waterless robotic cleaning systems leads to near-zero usage of water for module cleaning and improves operational efficiency, AGEL stated.
AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and energy storage solutions. AGEL currently has an operating renewable portfolio of over 19.7 GW, spread across 12 states. The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030, aligned to India's decarbonisation goals.
