Adani Green Energy Operationalises 139 MW Solar Project at Khavda
Adani Green Energy, through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A, has operationalised a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, taking its total operational renewable generation capacity to 20,280.80 MW.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that the company, through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A, has operationalised a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat.
“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 2.05 p.m. on September 01, 2026, to commercially operationalise this plant,” stated the company in a regulatory filing.
It further added that with the operationalisation of the project, AGEL has achieved total operational renewable generation capacity of 20,280.80 MW. The company also has an operational BESS capacity of 3,551 MWh.
In July 2026, AGEL surpassed 20 GW of operational renewable energy capacity, becoming the first renewable energy company in India to achieve the milestone predominantly through greenfield development.
In FY26, AGEL added 5,051 MW of renewable capacity, which includes 3.4 GW (3,409 MW) of solar, 0.7 GW (686 MW) of wind and 1 GW (956 MW) of wind-solar hybrid capacity. Most of the new capacity was commissioned at the renewable energy plant being developed by AGEL at an accelerated pace in the barren land at Khavda, Gujarat. Built across 538 sq kms, the project is spread across an area five times the size of Paris. Out of the planned 30 GW by 2029 at Khavda, AGEL has already installed a cumulative capacity of about 10 GW at the site, the company said.
AGEL's operational portfolio comprises about 14.3 GW of solar, 2.7 GW of wind and 3.3 GW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. Additionally, AGEL has commissioned 3.55 GWh of BESS. AGEL plans to add 10 GWh of battery storage in FY27 and expand its portfolio to 50 GWh over the next five years, supporting its 50 GW renewable energy target by 2030.
