In line with the vision of 25 GW capacity by 2025, Adani Group’s renewable energy arm Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), through its subsidiary Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three Ltd (AWEKTL), has commissioned 100 MW wind power project in Kutch district of Gujarat, five months ahead of its schedule.

This is the fifth renewables project that the company commissioned prior to the scheduled commissioning date of the project over the past twelve months period.

Fort this project, the company has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at Rs 2.82/kwh.

Post this commissioning, the total operational renewable capacity of Adani Green Energy reached 3,345 MWac.

With the successful commissioning of this plant, the company has an operational wind generation capacity of 497 MW. AGEL has total renewable capacity of 14,815 MW including 11,470 MW that have been awarded and are at different stages of implementation. With this project the company has added total renewable capacity of 800 MW since the last 12 months.

Like all its other assets, the newly commissioned plant would be managed by the Adani Group’s ‘Intelligent Energy Network Operation Centre’ platform that gives AGEL complete centralized visibility and an ability to manage its renewables assets on pan India basis.

Recently, the company commissioned 100 MW (2x50 MW) solar power plants at Jalalabad in Shahjahanpur district and Sahaswan in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

Both the plants have 25 year PPAs with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) at Rs 3.22/kWh and 3.19/kWh respectively.
