Adani Electricity Mumbai has invited bids for the supply of 600 MW of power from grid-connected wind projects across India. The tender, available to project developers, mandates the creation of wind power projects under a build-own-operate (BOO) framework. This entails the developers' responsibility for procuring land, ensuring connectivity, and securing long-term access.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by April 2, with bid openings scheduled for April 5. To participate, bidders are obliged to pay a document fee of INR 29,500, along with a document processing fee of INR 300,000 plus 18 percent GST. Moreover, an earnest money deposit (EMD) equivalent to INR 1.26 million per MW for each project is mandated.
The tender also accommodates consideration for already commissioned wind power projects, provided they are not committed under other central or state programs.
Successful bidders will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai, with tariffs covering all relevant statutory taxes, duties, and levies.
Wind power projects connected to intra-state transmission systems must have a minimum bid capacity of 10 MW, while those linked to inter-state transmission systems require a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW.
Adherence to specific guidelines for wind power projects, aligned with applicable state policies, is obligatory for developers. Joint ventures and consortia formation are permitted, and developers are responsible for interconnection with the state or inter-state transmission utility networks.
Financial eligibility criteria dictate that bidders' net worth should equal or exceed INR 12.64 million/MW of quoted capacity, evaluated based on the previous financial year's status or within seven days of the bid submission deadline.
