  2. 220kV Gopalpur-Mandola transmission line restoration which involves restoration of 6 large towers and arrangement of steel supplies from manufacturing plants and also local fabrication is in full swing and will be completed as per schedule, i.e. 20.6.2014.
  3. 220 kV DC Maharani Bagh-GhazipurWork on Badarpur-Noida-Ghazipur line which was not working because of damage of cable joints, is also in progress and is likely to energized by 18.6.2014.

  • NTPC allocated gas from other stations to Bawana power plant to enable Delhi to have additional generation of 400 MW from it. Delhi utilized this for 3 days. Thereafter due to low demand the same has been kept on reserve and can generate additional power as and when Delhi requires.
  • Repairing of Pragati gas based plant was also taken up on priority by BHEL after the meeting of the Union Minister on 10.6.2014. One additional gas turbine and one steam turbine has already been synchronized after repair at GT power station of Pragati Power Corporation Ltd. which has led to additional generation of 50MW of power for Delhi. The work on another gas turbine unit hasalso been completed and presently is running on no load and is likely to come on the bar by tomorrow (17.6.2014).
  • DISCOMs are giving the report on their planned power outages every day, but the time taken to restore the feeder outages and other faults especially in BSES areas needs to be addressed by the Distribution Utilities, under the supervision of Government of Delhi.
