Gurugram-based ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Eighth Pvt. Ltd., has been granted a Category-IV trading licence by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).

The licence authorises the company to engage in interstate electricity trading across India for a period of 25 years. According to ACME Solar, the approval marks a key milestone in its power trading and renewable integration strategy. With this licence, the company can buy and sell electricity across regions, earning a margin from trading differentials.

“This development strengthens ACME’s position in the renewable energy ecosystem and opens new revenue streams through power market participation,” the company noted in its exchange filing.

The licence is effective immediately and remains valid unless revoked earlier by the regulator.
