ACME Solar Commissions First Phase of 1,581 MWh BESS Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan

The BESS forms part of a larger 300 MW/1,581 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project being developed by ACME Solar through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Pvt. Ltd.
The project is located in Kelan village in Chhatargarh tehsil of Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The company said only the BESS component has been commissioned so far, while the associated renewable energy generation component remains under development.
Commercial operations for the commissioned BESS phase are scheduled to begin on September 16, 2026, ACME Solar said.
ACME Solar Holdings is an integrated renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio of 8,370 MW spanning solar, wind, storage, FDRE and hybrid solutions. It has an operational contracted capacity of 2,990 MW, including around 3.62 GWh of BESS capacity, while a further 5,380 MW of contracted capacity is under construction. Its under-construction portfolio with signed power purchase agreements stands at 4,010 MW.
The company has in-house engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) capabilities, enabling end-to-end development and operation of its renewable energy projects. It says this model supports time- and cost-efficient project delivery while maintaining operating performance, reflected in its capacity utilisation factor (CUF) and operating margins.
