ACME Solar Appoints Ayalur S Kumar as Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Supply Chain

Ayalur S Kumar brings three decades of experience in procurement, supply chain strategy, operations, and logistics across renewable energy, EV infrastructure, biorefinery, and power sectors, including over 15 years in senior leadership roles.

ACME Solar has appointed Ayalur S Kumar as its Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Supply Chain, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates its growth plans to achieve 10 GW of operational contracted capacity by 2030 in the renewable energy sector.

Kumar brings three decades of experience in procurement, supply chain strategy, operations, and logistics across renewable energy, EV infrastructure, biorefinery, and power sectors, including over 15 years in senior leadership roles. He has extensive expertise in building and scaling procurement organisations, leading cross-cultural teams, strengthening supplier relationship management, and conducting sustainability assessments.

His experience spans high-tech component sourcing, project insurance optimisation, and technology transfer, with a strong focus on creating globally aligned yet locally anchored supply chains. Prior to joining ACME Solar, Kumar held leadership roles at Fortum, Skoda Power, ABB, and Alstom.

Kumar holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in International Business from IIFT, New Delhi, providing a strong academic foundation to complement his industry experience.

With this appointment, ACME Solar aims to further enhance supply chain resilience and operational efficiency as it scales its renewable energy portfolio across India.
