ABB has announced that it has signed a new framework pact with SUSI Partners to encourage microgrids and energy storage projects.
ABB will present its proprietary microgrid technology and battery energy storage systems, while SUSi will finance the projects through its Energy Storage Fund with a capital of EUR 100 million (USD 114.9m) committed to clean energy infrastructure.
ABB has more than 40 microgrid installations globally across various applications, serving remote communities, islands, utilities and industrial campuses. Its corporation with SUSI will serve to step up the adoption of microgrid and energy storage solutions, ABB held.
“This partnership with ABB broadens SUSI’s investment scope and we expect it to contribute in attracting numerous investment opportunities for the SUSI Energy Storage Fund globally,” supposed Marco van Daele, chief investment officer for SUSI Partners.
