ABB India Ltd. announces changes in the Board of Directors

Gary Steel resigns as Director and Chairman of the Board

ABB India Limited announced changes in the Board of Directors. At a meeting held the company made changes in the following positions of the board.

Gary Steel has resigned as Director and Chairman of the Board at the conclusion of today’s board meeting, with effect from October 28, 2014. Frank Duggan has been appointed as non-executive Director, as a replacement for Gary Steel. Gary joined the board of ABB India since February 20, 2009. The company acknowledges his valuable and long tenure, steering the board of directors of ABB India.

Further, Frank Duggan, has also been appointed as Chairman of the Board of the Company, with immediate effect. Frank is the President of Global Markets and Region Manager, India, Middle East and Africa.  He is also a member of Executive Committee of the ABB Group.

Peter Leupp has resigned as Director of the Board at the conclusion of today’s board meeting, with effect from October 28, 2014.  Tarak Mehta has been appointed as non-executive Director, as a replacement for Peter Leupp. Peter has served on the ABB India board since July 26, 2007. The company has benefitted greatly from his experience and expertise.

Tarak Mehta is Executive Vice President, Global Head of Low Voltage Products division and also a member of Executive Committee of ABB Group.
