Azure Power Commissions Solar Project worth 150 Mw in Rajasthan

Azure Power has announced that it has commissioned a 150 Megawatt (Mw) solar power project at Bhadla solar park in Rajasthan.

“This section is the first phase of 200 Mw allocated to Azure Power by Solar Energy Corporation (SECI). Azure Power will supply power to SECI at a tariff of Rs 2.48 per unit for 25 years,” the company said in a statement.

Azure today has 1,600 Mw of operational solar assets spread across 24 states in India including a solar rooftop portfolio of over 200 Mw. Azure Power had developed the foremost SECI solar power plant in Rajasthan in 2015.

“With this commissioning we have one of the highest rated and diverse solar portfolios in India,” Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Inderpreet Wadhwa said. The company has an overall portfolio of 3,000 Mw of solar projects across India
