Scatec Operationalises Second 60 MW Unit of its 120 MW Solar Project in Botswana, South Africa

Scatec has begun commercial operations of the second 60 MW unit of its 120 MW Mmadinare Solar Cluster in Botswana. The first phase of 60 MW was operationalised in March 2025. Together, the two plants are expected to generate 280 GWh of clean energy annually.

Scatec ASA Bags Bid for 123 MW Battery Storage Project in South Africa

Scatec ASA has been awarded preferred bidder status for the Haru BESS Battery Energy Storage Project totalling 123 MW/492 MWh in the third bid window of the Battery Energy Storage Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (BESIPPPP) in South Africa, by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy.

Scatec Breaks Ground on 1.1 GW Solar and Storage Project in Egypt

Scatec ASA has commenced construction of its 1.1 GW Obelisk solar and 100 MW/200 MWh battery storage project in Egypt. The energy will be sold under a USD-denominated 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), backed by a sovereign guarantee.
