Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, virtually inaugurated the country’s first 1 MW Green Hydrogen Plant in the port sector at Deendayal Port, Kandla.

Kandla Port to Commence Green Hydrogen Production by July 2025

Kandla port is set to become India’s first to host an operational green hydrogen plant using indigenous electrolysers manufactured by L&T, with a 1 MW facility at Deendayal Port Authority which will be operational by July 2025. It is expected to produce 18 kg of hydrogen per hour.
