As per Ministry of New and Renewable Energy data, a total of 15.45 lakh households have benefitted through the installation of rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Gujarat leads the adoption with 5,23,615 installations, followed by Maharashtra (3,71,954) and Uttar Pradesh (1,64,646).
