Rooftop Solar Installations Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana Reaches 23.96 Lakh Households

India has achieved nearly 24 percent of its one-crore rooftop solar target under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with 23.96 lakh households already equipped with solar systems, stated Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik.

Rooftop Solar Installations under PM Surya Ghar Yojana Crosses 15 Lakh

As per Ministry of New and Renewable Energy data, a total of 15.45 lakh households have benefitted through the installation of rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Gujarat leads the adoption with 5,23,615 installations, followed by Maharashtra (3,71,954) and Uttar Pradesh (1,64,646).

PM Surya Ghar Yojana Hits 10 Lakh Installations: Here’s How Individual States Have Performed

As per Ministry of New and Renewable Energy data, a total of 10.09 lakh households have benefitted through the installation of rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Gujarat leads the adoption with 3,95,490 installations, followed by Maharashtra (2,36,339) and Uttar Pradesh (94,097). Total installed capacity has crossed 3 GW.
