Luxcara Reserves Siemens Gamesa Turbines for 1.5 GW Waterekke Offshore Wind Project

Luxcara has signed a capacity reservation agreement with Siemens Gamesa for 97 turbines with a capacity of 15.5 MW each to be deployed at its 1,500 MW Waterekke offshore wind project in the German North Sea, slated for completion by 2029.

Google Signs its First Offshore Wind Power PPA in Asia Pacific with CIP in Taiwan

Google has signed its first offshore wind power purchase agreement (PPA) in Asia Pacific with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners to procure renewable energy from the 495 MW Fengmiao I project in Taiwan. Once operational in 2027, it will supply power to Google's data centre, cloud region and offices in Taiwan.

TotalEnergies, Skyborn Renewables, EGCO Group and Sojitz, have inaugurated the fully operational 640 MW Yunlin offshore wind farm in Taiwan. Located about 15 kilometres off the west coast of Taiwan, at water depths of up to 35 meters, the project consists of 80 wind turbines, each with 8 MW capacity and generates about 2.4 TWh of electricity per year.
