MNRE Issues Operating Guidelines for INR 2,584.60 Cr Small Hydro Power Development Scheme

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched the INR 2,584.60 crore Small Hydro Power Development Scheme for FY27-FY31 to support the installation of around 1,500 MW of new small hydro capacity across India. The Scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet in March 2026, and now MNRE has also issued operational guidelines.

MNRE Mandates 10-Year Product and 25-Year Performance Warranty for Solar Modules

Solar Module Capacity Under ALMM Surpasses 193 GW in May 2026

MNRE has updated the ALMM List-I, adding 20,745 MW of module capacity in May 2026, taking the total enlisted capacity to 193,889 MW. Sudarshan Saur Shakti, Nav-Yug Solar and Silver Pumps and Motors are the new entrants. Waaree, Reliance Industries, Novasys Greenergy, Rayzon Solar, Luminous, PIXON Green Energy, Redren Energy have increased capacities.

Reliance Industries Enters ALMM List-II for Solar Cells, Total Enlisted Capacity Crosses 30 GW

Reliance has entered the ALMM List-II for solar PV cells by adding 1,238 MW of HJT solar cell capacity, while Jupiter International has added 991 MW of Mono PERC capacity from its new plant in Himachal Pradesh. Websol has enhanced its capacity by 600 MW to reach 1,202 MW. Total enlisted capacity in ALMM List-II has increased to 30,056 MW.
