India Adds 3.83 GW RE Capacity in August 2026, Total Addition in FY27 Reaches 20.20 GW

India has added 3,828.73 MW of solar and wind capacity in August 2026, comprising 3,445.30 MW of solar and 383.43 MW of wind power, according to MNRE data. In FY27, the country added 20,204.83 MW, including 17,779.35 MW of solar and 2,425.48 MW of wind capacity. India’s total installed RE capacity has reached about 295.55 GW.
